Luiz Carlos Trabuco has successfully led Bradesco as their CEO since 2009. They have a large footprint in the private Brazilian banking market. As one of the largest, they have a scope of products and services which their rivals find difficult to match. They have flourished under the leadership of Trabuco as he is known in the business.

The financial crisis that was gripping Brazil and the entire world was the backdrop for Trabuco when he was appointed as Bradesco’s CEO. Trabuco showed his mettle as he brought Bradesco safely through the most difficult economic time in recent memory. Despite reduced economic activity in general, he positioned them for a rebound when conditions improved.

The top spot in Brazilian banking is always of great interest to those in the industry and those watching from the sidelines. When Luiz Carlos Trabuco assumed his post of leadership Bradesco had just been eclipsed by their rival Itaú Unibanco. The Corporate University that he instituted was a training ground for promising young executives to learn their jobs better and the culture of Bradesco. He canvassed high-level executives at Bradesco to learn who was qualified for this additional training. The program has been a success with the next generation of leadership being cultivated and promoted from within.
